The company behind VeriProof

The story

Plenty of AI agents work in a demo. Far fewer get approved for real work, and some that do are pulled back after an incident nobody can explain. The model is rarely the reason. The business owner who funded the agent can't get it signed off, because nobody can say which rule applied, who decided the exception, or what the agent did.

VeriProof gives each person around the agent a portal built for their part of the job: the business owner, the risk and compliance officer, the governance engineer, the developer, the auditor, and the administrator. Work moves between them through built-in handoffs. An exception reaches the person with authority to decide. A governance engineer's rule change for a production agent goes to an administrator or compliance officer. A risk decision lands with the named business owner. Underneath, each agent action is checked against the organization's rules before it happens, and the request, rule, review, and outcome stay linked as one record an auditor can verify on their own.

Story angles

The business owner is the one waiting

The person who funds an AI agent usually isn't the one who can approve it. What does it take for a claims director or a head of operations to get agents live, keep a growing fleet under control, and defend its decisions when asked?

Enterprise AI adoption · operations leadership · AI in regulated industries

The handoffs nobody designed

Agent tooling is built for developers. The work between the developer, the risk team, the reviewer, the business owner, and the auditor still runs through email and meetings. What changes when those handoffs are built into the product?

EU AI Act: what 'automatically generated logs' requires

Article 12 sets record-keeping requirements for high-risk AI systems, and Annex III obligations apply from December 2, 2027. What does that mean for a system where an agent proposes and a person approves?

AI regulation · EU AI Act · compliance technology

From policy documents to individual decisions

A policy describes what should happen. A decision record shows what the application reported, which rule applied, and who stepped in.

Which facts reached the application, and what result did it report? How linked records help a team explain one decision after the fact.

Company overview, short form

VeriProof helps businesses put AI agents into production and keep them there. It checks agent actions against business rules before they happen, sends exceptions to the person with authority to decide, and keeps a tamper-evident record an auditor can verify independently. Six role portals, from the business owner to the auditor, share that record, and built-in handoffs move work between them.

Company overview, long form

VeriProof is a control and evidence platform for enterprise AI agents. Before an agent acts on anything that matters, VeriProof checks the action against the organization's rules. It returns one of five outcomes: Allow (continue as submitted), Warn (continue with a warning), Transform (continue with a corrected version), Escalate (wait for a person with authority), or Deny (stop). Exceptions reach a reviewer with the authority to decide through the VeriProof Inbox, email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams, with reminders and escalation. Reviewers can decide routine reviews from their own Slack message or Teams card, and every decision is recorded in VeriProof. The business owner, risk and compliance officer, governance engineer, developer, auditor, and administrator each work in their own portal. The request, the rule, the review, and the reported outcome stay linked as one record, verifiable outside the platform. VeriProof connects agents built with its SDKs, in Microsoft Copilot Studio, and through browser-based computer use. It runs as a managed service today; Private Enterprise, coming soon to Azure Marketplace, will run entirely in the customer's own Azure subscription, completely separate from VeriProof SaaS. RJR Labs LLC is a bootstrapped company headquartered in Mendham, New Jersey.

Founder quote

"The person who funds an AI agent wants it doing real work. The people who approve it need to know what it did and why. We built VeriProof so the business owner can get to yes: every exception reaches someone with the authority to decide, and the record holds up when an auditor asks."

Bob Janacek, founder, RJR Labs

Evidence integrity

Reviewers can check whether exported records have changed. Signed evidence packages bring the decision history and integrity checks together for an investigation or audit.
