Security, deletion and retention
Decision evidence has a purpose. Retention controls help your team manage how long session content stays, while legal holds protect records that still need to be kept.

A legal hold preserves covered content for investigations or legal matters, even after its retention period ends.
Has deletion finished? See which requests still need follow-up, including incomplete deletions that can be retried.
A decision record and its integrity proof serve different purposes. Keep the evidence your reviewers need to examine; the proof lets them check for later changes.
The managed service keeps decision data in Azure in the United States (Central US), and its backups stay in the United States too.
Private Enterprise, coming soon to Azure Marketplace, will run entirely in your own Azure subscription, completely separate from VeriProof SaaS. Decision data and its integrity ledger never leave it, and your team will own and operate that installation.
A privacy request can call for action beyond a retention schedule. VeriProof's GDPR workflow tracks erasure requests, checks legal holds, and records completion for the covered data.
Your team can follow each request through its status and audit history.
A fingerprint does not contain the original decision content. Checking content against it requires a retained copy of the evidence.
Azure SQL Database Ledger is the default: integrity records stay in Azure. If you choose Solana, its public fingerprints remain after session content is deleted.
With either option, exported copies and backups follow their own retention policies.
